develop a marketing program for MABA that can be basis to invigorate the Military Ave. Business District

 

Action Plan:

  • Improve communication within the district
    • create a newsletter via e-mail
    • publish min. 4 / yr….interface with block captains for local input
  • develop image / branding
    • research our unique statement proposition
    • create an image for marketing  our area to attract
    • new tenants, customers, developers,
  • work with the city for district signage / street image designs
    • entrances / streetscape / directional off hy 41
    • possible armed forces  monuments or other impact statements
  • work with city in designing a business district presentation kit
    • showcase our area for prospective tenants to consider
    • tie-in with the biz development committee efforts
  • create an effective web site
    • leverage the local advertising efforts with coupons etc. to drive traffic
  • explore opportunities for funding  marketing  efforts
    • city hall commitment to fund our cause
    • Main Street and other programs  / Grant writing
  • promote the unique aspects of MABA
    • longevity of some businesses /  # of family restaurants
    • Hwy. 41 proximity / unique destination sites
    • proximity to Packers / easy access / parking   
  • Tie-in with Greater G.B. organizations
    • Joint effort to promote and retain biz in the G.B. area
  • Tie-in with  Events Committee….. develop  recurring traffic building promos
  • explore marketing assistance options
    • College intern projects / Chamber staff and programs
    • Create coop programs for area businesses
